This engraved crystal presentation plate, created for the City of Mississauga, was a framing challenge we were thrilled to take on. Transparent and highly reflective objects like glass or crystal demand careful planning to ensure every edge and engraving remains visible without glare or shadow.
The solution was a deep custom shadowbox lined with a rich blue suede mat that enhances the clarity of the engraved logo while contrasting beautifully against the crystal surface. The warm wooden frame provides a refined finish that complements the presentation’s formal nature.
Mounting clear glass requires precision and invisible support — this piece was secured using archival, non-invasive techniques that allow the plate to appear as if it floats within the frame. UV-protective, anti-reflection glass completes the display, offering both protection and optimal visibility.
